"The house was unexpectedly nice. We thoroughly enjoyed the cool (unheated) but not cold, jacuzzi pool after a long hot day in Manuel Antonio park. This is a nice place, but they really, really, need to let folks know that this place is very remote and the road is very bad. Great if you want to bring everything and just stay there, but it is a 45 minute drive on bad, unlit roads to come or go from the lodge. We could see several places where the hillside had given way into the road and one...

"Our stay at Ecotica was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and offers an unforgettable Costa Rican experience. We loved seeing wildlife around the property, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The only disappointing part of our visit was our experience at the YOLO restaurant. Unfortunately, we encountered a waiter who was quite rude and made us feel unwelcome. He rolled his eyes when we asked questions and when we requested recommendations, which left a negative impression. The service we received there did not reflect the excellent hospitality we experienced throughout the rest of the hotel. Despite this unpleasant experience at the restaurant, everything else about Ecotica was outstanding. The property, atmosphere, and overall service were exceptional. We would still recommend Ecotica to anyone visiting Manuel Antonio and would gladly stay here again."

A few notable people there that made the experience great were Felipe, Joel, Luis, Elias (tour guide), and many more. Beautiful resort filled with wildlife around every corner and breathtaking views. Thank you Parador for a relaxing luxurious week off of work."

"La Mariposa was a wonderful experience from my wife and I. The highest point looking out at the Pacific Ocean in Manuel Antonio. Stunning Views and vast wildlife. The view from the rooms was exceptional. Friendly and welcoming staff. The property has a swim up pool bar on the top floor that outlooks the ocean and an infinity pool on the lower floor. We loved every minute we spent and wish we had booked for more. I will be back to La mariposa every time I visit Manuel Antonio. Also the free breakfast was great and the restaurant dinner was to die for."

"I visited this location in May 2026 during the low season. The rooms were very spacious and nice. I did have an issue with the lock on my door that led to the pool area. The staff were EXTREMELY quick to fix the lock within the hour! The free breakfast in the morning was delicious and the staff had plenty of helpful directions for affordable excursions that are very simple to navigate. The owner of the property is VERY sweet, understanding and accommodation. He has the most adorable puppy as well. Will definitely stay again! Thank you so much! ❤️"
