"The front desk clerk told me that there was no rooms available. This is far from a poor customer experience. This is absolutely a lack of empathy and simple business operation. Now I need to look for another hotel at 9:00 pm"

"If you are looking for a remote place to get away for a bit this is the place. Very basic, but all you need. Owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!"

"Overall excellent. Only (minor) problem was that the first night was pretty cold, and there was no heat in the room. The second night the host provided a ceramic electric heater and that made the cabin very cosy."

"We loved it here!! The sunsets were absolutely stunning. The owner was super nice and if we had any questions or needed anything a staff member was there quickly to help. The villa had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We rented a 2x4 car and was able to get there, you just have to give it some gas in a couple of places. Highly recommend staying here. "
"Omg! This was best hotel in Costa Rica we stayed. Service is amazing, whatever we asked for stuff was able to provide, rooms are great, beds are comfortable, clean and relaxing pool. Def recommend staying here "
"Road to..
It was a great ride on the dirt road to Santajuana alongside palm tree trimmers, cattle, motorbikes, and the required 4-wheel momentum to make it up into the hill.
Clean woodsy classy designed room with comfortable bed in the screen sided cabin, plus 270 degree view on the deck, while we appreciated the rain soundtrack and viewed fog, haze & gorgeous sunsets meant a new level of peace, bookended with hikes to and dips in waterfalls.
While power went out briefly, backup generator provided power & WIFI in main lodge/dining area.
There are guided tours for booking, or the kind generous host provides a local tour which folks loved cuz he shares his local knowledge and wisdom of the rainforest they know as home. We took a couple hikes they recommended and thoroughly enjoyed.
The food was cooked by the staff, many of whom are of the same family as the hosts. Solid attention was paid to making sure the food served was to our liking. Enough variety to keep it interesting and to serve different pallets while clearly much of it being sourced a few steps away. On the return of one hike we passed by the vegetable and fruit garden being tended to by la madre, showing us the various herbs she cultivates.
The highlight was the local family who worked and managed the lodge. They were inspirational, kind, warm and caring. The initial welcoming and subsequent engaging conversations were fun & interesting. Inquire about the history of this nature preserve… Fascinating!"
Casa Sea Breeze- Luxury OceanView Estate+50' Infinity Pool on 100 Acres
10/10 Excellent
"“Stunning” “Best vacation ever!” was repeated over and over by the travelers that went with us! This hidden gem was worth every penny. The house is beautiful, well maintained, nestled in the jungle!!! Truly could have stayed on property for a tranquil vacation easily. The wildlife, monkeys on our balcony, animals in the forest, the countless toucans and birds, plus the owl was our own private nature preserve! Suzanne was very informative and answered every question. Her staff was amazing and so helpful. While there we had Wil Tours provide chef services for a few nights (I'm a foodie and it was delicious!). We also had him book deep sea fishing, horseback riding on the beach (my favorite!!!!), monkey boat, zip lining and chocolate farm tour.!! All were fantastic! To wrap up our time away we had Angelica Spa for massages. So relaxing!Did I mention the pool or the beautiful well maintained grounds, endless tropical flowers and trees. All worth the time to get there!!!Highlight of the trip was the monkeys!!! Just to see them wild in nature and their crazy antics. We will cherish this vacation forever!"
