"The hotel was clean, the room service and staff were exceptional. Check in and check out was smooth and fast and the staff even helped coordinate surprise balloons as this trip was a celebration for my partner, these touches make a real difference. My only wish was that we could use the stairs because we were on floor 5 and each time we waited for the one small lift it was full of many people each time which meant we had to wait for the next round. The location of the hotel was fine in terms of getting around, just a 10 minute walk from the main eurostar station and metros all around. The general area seemed quite poverty stricken and many homeless people nearby at local street feeding shelter across the road from the hotel, people sleeping and living in tents, and lots gathering in large numbers. Some nearby restaurants I could see waiters asking the homeless people to move away and stop bothering customers which I saw lead to one loud argument. The hotel is within its own clean, safe, space and I would stay here again but think this should be known."

"The accomodation was simple, no air conditioning but a fan was provided. The room was clean and comfortable, well insulated from outside noise so we had 3 quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was continental, cereals, fresh bread and croissants, which were very tasty. Close to both the Gare de L'Est and a metro station, Gare du Nord only 15 minutes walk. The owners were very helpful and the lift worked well (6 floors). A well managed hotel."

"This was a great stay. Our last hotel cancelled on us last minute but we were so happy we found this. The room was clean and just as requested they have us twin beds. I would say the room was a little small and walls were thin but it’s what I expected for a boutique hotel. The smart tv was great to watch. The cleaning service was fabulous. Everyday we’d come back to a neat room and fresh towels if requested! Only issue was that there were no mugs in the bedroom just espresso size cups for the coffee machine so even though there was tea bags I didn’t have a full mug to make it in or milk."
