Palermo Soho Tours

Known for its glitz and glamour, Palermo is also one of the most attractive neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Boutiques, restaurants and cafés are housed in quaint buildings along tree-lined streets and cobblestone alleyways.

Two of the most popular areas to visit are known locally as Hollywood and Soho. Hollywood is home to movie and TV studios and the best nightclubs in the city. Soho is known for its for trendy bars, loft apartments and boutique shops.

Visit during the day to get your bearings around the neighborhood. Soho is perfect for a day of shopping and people-watching. Head to Plaza Serrano on weekends for outdoor markets or grab a coffee at one of the French-style cafés lining the streets. Venture into the heart of Soho and wander down cobblestone alleyways hunting for a bargain at the local boutiques.

A relaxing way to spend the afternoon is to head towards Plaza Italia in the northeast, where you’ll find Buenos Aires Zoo and the Botanical Gardens.

Wander along the tree-lined Avenida Santa Fe, which is known for its excellent shopping. Palermo Viejo, or Old Palermo, is nearby, and a great place to end a day with some more shopping and the chance to look at some of the oldest houses in Buenos Aires.

Palermo comes alive at night when the streets and plazas buzz with the movement of people in out of bars and restaurants. Soho is home to trendy bars and restaurants, but you’ll find more upmarket dining spots along Santa Fe Avenue. To keep the night going, find your way to Palermo Hollywood for clubs that will see you dancing long into the night, and perhaps the next day.

Palermo is located in the northeast of Buenos Aires, just next to Recoleta. It is accessible from the Metro D line and is serviced by numerous bus lines into Plaza Italia.
