This hotel is located in the office district and good for business use. A bit inconvenient for pleasure purpose stay but is acceptable distance from shopping area such as Shinsaibashi and Umeda.

Thank you for your review.As you say, it is a hotel for business, but it is also recommended for customers who want to go sightseeing in Kyoto and Nara while staying in Osaka. Both can be reached in about an hour by train.We are looking forward to seeing you next time.

I thought it felt a little tired and a little less nice inside the room than I expected. I’d stayed in another hotel in this chain earlier in the same trip and it was much nicer and more recently updated, so I was a little surprised. The bed was also harder and less comfortable. The breakfast, while overall pretty good, was often out of the best items over the course of our meal, and it seemed like the kitchen was understaffed. However, the service was quite good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel staff is helpful and location is convenient with subway right in front of the hotel. Room size is acceptable. Value for money. By the way I still haven’t received my rewards from Hotels.com for my 2 nights stay in this hotel. Please help to follow up.

I enjoyed our stay at at this property, the hotel elevators were secured via room keys and front desk staff and housekeeping staff was very kind. Our room was a great size for my boyfriend and I. The amenities were standard but great that they also gave us a sheet mask for the ladies. I loved that the mirror in the restroom had a section that would not fog up! Only small complaint was that the desk was a bit dusty. Overall very pleasant stay! :)

This was a great hotel. It's practically connected to kitahama train station so it's super convenient to get around. The staff were nice and it's in a good location respective to everything else. If i had to choose I would stay there again.

The layout of the room was roomy in comparison to most hotels in Japan. The mattress was firm, room was clean and the washrooms had decent space for us to change and move around. Staff were very friendly and willing to change our room to nonsmoking last minute since we booked the wrong room. Located in a business area a bit far away from the JR line (~30min walk from Osaka station) so you need to take a private line where the station is located right next to the hotel.

It was my second time to stay in this hotel ,but it is not as good as before because of room facility . 1, it was a double room (smoking) which is full of smoking smell ,far from my enduring . After turning on air conditioning, opening the window ,turning on air filtering , we were still indulged in the smell of smoke. 2. the smell of toilet was terrible ,mixing uncomfortable smell with smell of cigar. 3. speed of internet was unacceptable .max download speed was 256kbps

Very small rooms, which is normal in Japan, but very clean. No English speaking TV, which Shan appears to be the norm in Japan. Breakfast has a good variety on offer and there are plenty of restaurants in the area for other meals.

Great location & breakfat
Hotel is conveniently located a couple mins from subway station & easily accessible to attractions. Breakfast has a good selection of western & Japanese food. Rooms are small but clean & comfy. Our first stay in Daiwa chain but would highly recommend.

The subway Kitahama is just next to the hotel, easy for everyone catch the train to go. The room is a bit small, I booked a standard double room but the size is same as semi-double room I lived at Tokyo last month. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful.

Good stay except for a terrible check in
Rather good experience overall but the check in experience was bad. Hence 3 stars only. No smile at all, no flexibility around early check although we arrived at 12h20, little English spoken at reception. Some staff at reception are better than others as the service experienced later demonstrated. But this hotel has to improve that first impression that customers keep.... the check in.

The location is convenient to go to anywhere.
The hotel is located in a commercial area, close to subway and JR . It is convenient to anywhere in the city. There are cafe, restaurants , fashion stores and a supermarket inside a commercial complex cross the street of the hotel. The guest room is not contemporary designed. It could be due to its clients. During my stay, I saw quite a lot of business travellers.
