Visitors can enjoy authentic kaiseki restaurants serving local specialties like white peaches and muscat grapes. The area maintains a respectful, quiet atmosphere that honors its rich Japanese heritage.

Kita Ward

Kita Ward centers around Okayama Station, a gleaming transportation hub where bullet trains connect to major cities across Japan. The bustling business district features modern high-rises, corporate offices, and the covered Omotesando shopping arcade with its neon-lit storefronts. Nearby cultural attractions include the stunning Korakuen Garden and historic Okayama Castle. The area serves as an ideal base for business travelers and tourists alike. Hotel Abest Grande Okayama

Hotel Abest Grande Okayama

8/10 Good
"Fantastic location for travelers. Not only is it an easy 5 min walk from the station, but ther are lots of restaurants in the area too. There is a supermarket in the neighboring building which is also handy. The furniture in our room was a bit dated, and the wifi was a bit hit and miss. Apart from that, the staff were helpful and the room was spacious"

"Bathroom flooded every day. Couldn’t tell if it was the bath or aircon outlet (which the lovely reception guy said), but every time we took a bath there’d be a few centimetres of water on the bathroom floor. Cleared pretty quickly. Still a bit annoying. Hotel is in a great location, close to train station / tram stops / shopping mall. Breakfast buffet standard but reliable. Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay again."

"The staff was helpful and kind right as we entered the lobby. When for a recommendations for dinner they not only made reservations on our behalf, they wanted to make sure we got there and went out of their way to give us a photo of the place and drew a detailed map for us. The onsen was wonderfull. They had everything one could wish for. 3 bathes: outdoorish, indoor hot and indoor cold. They had all the creams and soaps one could need. The free ice cream at the end of the onsen was the cherry on top. A great free washing machine."
