Our poor experience with this property started a few days before we left home when I received an email informing me there would be no linens anywhere in the condo--no sheets on the four beds, no towels or washcloths in the bathroom, no dish clothes or towels in the kitchen--and we would need to bring our own or leave $ for the cleaning lady and use some that would be in a closet there. You can imagine my frustration, but whatever, we're going to the beach, right? We'll pay the $ and avoid packing an entire condo's worth of linens and bringing them all back with us. Why the owner wouldn't just supply linens and add $ to the cleaning fee is beyond me, but hey, that's her call. This would have been overlooked by me except when we got there the linens were locked in a trunk and I had to go track down a key from the point person on the property. So, I go fetch the key, make 4 beds, put some towels in the bathroom and finally we can relax and enjoy our short 3 nights at the beach. Except, the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms doesn't work. It wasn't obvious as the fan still worked and the first day there wasn't scorching, so we tolerated it the first night. The second night was not tolerable and it was so hot that I finally slept on the couch in the living room. I wrote the owner in the morning and she said she'd send a repair man. We went to the beach all day, came back several hours after the man was supposed to have fixed the AC, and alas, still no AC. No call from the owner either. I text her and she informs me they couldn't fix it on site and would have to come back the next day and bring it to the shop. If you're keeping count at home, we'll be leaving the next day, so no bedroom AC the entire trip for my wife and I. I ask if we'll be compensated for this inconvenience (something I feel should have been offered by her, not requested by me) and was met with a very defensive text in return accusing me of not alerting her to the AC soon enough for her to have it fixed during our stay. At this point I broke and voiced all of my frustrations with our experience and there was no return text after that. There was also no return of our security deposit even though we left the place in good shape (there were no check out instructions, so we tidied up in a manner we thought reasonable). I assumed we weren't going to be compensated for a poor experience (we weren't), so we didn't pay the ridiculous linen fee. Don't stay here. Plenty of other choices.
