Location of this hotel is excellent for Times Square & surrounding highlights of Manhattan. The staff at check in weren’t at all welcoming, & seemed disinterested. I was Allocated a tiny room with the windows taped closed, it was very hot & stuffy, & there was no air conditioning. I returned to reception & expressed my disappointment, & requested a room change as it was so uncomfortable. I was eventually given another room, but there was no acknowledgement or apology for this, I was just given another room. Fortunately this was much better in size & there was air conditioning control available. My stay was for 5 nights & the housekeeper who attended to my room was excellent, very friendly & thorough. Upon check out I had a similar experience to check in. Different staff who were also disinterested, unhelpful & rude. There was an issue me being overcharged for service tax on the room, they didn’t want to know, but then reluctantly said the final amount would eventually be adjusted on my credit card, without any explanation or reassurance.
