"The property is outstanding and the staff are very willing to help if you are amenable to no chairs in the room and only sitting on the floor. Also the room has no shower, so you either must use shower during your private time or if you miss you time slot you have no choice but to use it during public time. For ladies two showers, so at worse you will share with one other person."

"I wanted to experience staying at a traditional ryokan on my first Japan trip, so chose this ryokan after doing much research. We stayed in room 301 which had a private open air onsen. The bath and separate shower were both very clean, the Shiseido shampoo and conditioner provided were wonderful, and the private onsen divine. I used it several times during my one night stay. "Total relaxation and we'll needed downtime. The staff at this were wonderful and welcoming. The area was beautiful, the hotel looks out onto sweeping mountain landscape. We enjoyed the indoor onsen and slept soundly in our traditional accommodations. The food was very impressive, so carefully presented and delicious. We ate breakfast and dinner here but also tried some restaurants with walking distance that did not disappoint. A remarkable experience, thank you for your hospitality. "
