"The hotel is intended for couples, which may be a unique type of hotel in Japan. The normal procedure for walk-in customers is to select the room yourself on the vending machine in the lobby, collect the key, and then pay for the room using the payment machine in the room (basically self-service throughout). However, as foreign customers who pre-booked our stay, we still needed to fill out a form at the reception and have our passports copied (this is a requirement by the Japanese government)....

The water park below is an eyesore that runs to summer end, but the food and room view in the morning - don't look down - are Japan's essentials, and add fall moon, nice baths, local drink and humor in F1season , and the immediate patron reflection is 'when will I be back?',"

The rooms were cramped but clean, and the breakfast offerings were smaller than usual, but the menu was thoughtful and offered something for everybody. The hotel seeks to differentiate itself with a family-friendly image. They offer a free toy to each child after breakfast, plus a free-use toy cabinet in the lobby to entertain them during down times. The toys are well-taken care of. There is no feeling that they are hand-me-downs in need of a battery. The hotel is also a five-minute walk from the station and an excellent array of dining choices for any palette, which are also child-friendly. There is also a nice park and playground a few minutes walk away. The only downside is the distance from the beach, which is more a problem of geography than the hotel."
