A celebration of 24 types of college sport, this museum pays homage to student competitors, while its simulators provide a taste for pace.

The NCAA Hall of Champions is a museum that offers tribute to the best college athletes in the country. Exhibits spread across two stories piece together the history and development of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Study the various artifacts and memorabilia from many triumphant teams and individuals for a glimpse into the world of collegiate student sports.

Play the trivia challenge games to test your own knowledge of the record breakers and best players and teams. See the current team rankings across the country and watch video clips of momentous highlights.

All 24 of the NCAA’s sports are explored on the lower floor, where you’ll find artifacts donated from colleges around the United States. Exhibits are devoted to soccer, lacrosse and basketball, among many other college sports.

Climb to the second floor for the Play section, where you can get involved in the action. Brave yourself for the sports simulator and join the fast-paced action in virtual reality. Make your way through a retro 1930s gymnasium and try the ski simulator.

The half-court basketball display gives an insight into Michael Jordan’s rise as one of the best collegiate players who went on to professional success. Play HORSE and other games to test your own basketball ability.

Browse the items for sale in the gift shop, where you’ll find all types of memorabilia and souvenirs. The museum opens most of the year on Tuesdays through Sundays from morning until late afternoon. Note that Tuesdays are closed in January and February. There is a fee to enter, with discounts for seniors and youths. Toddlers have free admission.

The NCAA Hall of Champions is on the outside bend of the White River as it meanders through the western side of Indianapolis. From the heart of the Mile Square district, walk west for about 15 minutes to reach the hall.
