"Very well located, but tired. We booked a standard room via Hotels.com . Problem was that the hotel have " various standard rooms advertised under the same category with photographs showing different rooms. Problem is you do not know which room you are booking. For me it turns out that i was given the smallest room possible with less than half the room area of the standard rooms and difficult access to the bed if there are two of you ...so WARNING - beware of booking a standard room ay this hotel thinking you are going to get one thing when you may be given a room you would never have intended to book!!! The hotel was not able to move me to an alternative room on the first night , told me to come back to reception the next morning and ":staff may be able to move subject to availability but not guaranteed." As we were going on a sightseeing trip it was not practical to go to reception the following morning. Will not be returning to the hotel unless they in future specify clearly what you are booking !!"

"I had such an amazing stay at the Grand Hyatt Berlin. I didn’t use the pool, gym, or breakfast, but the room and service was phenomenal. Room was squeaky clean everyday, room was gorgeous, and the location was convenient and felt very safe. It was my first time in Germany and this hotel made my experience perfect. If there is anything to criticize, it would be the Vox restaurant. My fries came out cold and my water was over 10 euros. It would’ve been nice to know that my water would be more expensive than most other drink options and my side. Their crème brûlée and wine was amazing though. I wanted to go back just for those. I will be coming back here if I come back to Berlin :)"

"It was a nice property and the hotel was clean. Very close to public transport. However, my air conditioner did not work and I had to deal with extremely hot temperatures. The front desk staff said there was nothing they could do when I reported it to them. I wouldn’t stay here during summer months."

"Very disappointed indeed. It used to be a very nice hotel with an excellent business lounge. This, sadly has been closed. Paid extra for a business room which should have given me access to this lounge. Was at no point during the booking process told that the lounge had closed. Feel really cheated! Breakfast was only average at best. Only horrible salted scrambled eggs, jams out of an industrial bucket and croissants stale and hard. They used to have honey combs, sadly cheap very runny honey now. Lift didn't work, restaurant closed due to "unforseen circumstances", no explanations. Couldn't receive any English channels on TV, no BBC or SKY news. Carpets in the corridors had big stains. No decaf coffee in the room. People allowed to smoke on their balconies. Couldn't open the window!! Won't stay there again. Really poor value for money. They charge 4 star rates for a 2 star hotel."
