「This house is lovely, well stocked and comfortable. Beds were clean and very comfortable. The drive from the Richmond airport was super easy until about the last two twisty miles; if you are arriving after dark, study the map so you know what to expect. I loved that it was so close to Shenandoah National Park. 「House had not been recently cleaned. The inside of the kitchen refrigerator had to be cleaned. The bathtub had dead flies in it. The laundry room refrigerator had 3 rotted cabbages in it. The kitchen freezer had a pie shell in it, an open can of what looked like bacon grease, and an ice pack that had mold on it. Pots and pans had burnt residue on them. Silverware had old food on it and the drawers that had shelf paper; the shelf paper was stained. We basically spent Friday night cleaning and...

「VRBO and the host double booked the place. After a long drive we arrived to a house full of guests who were already unpacked and very unhappy to see us. VRBO's "VRBO Care" would have had us moved from a 4 bedroom house to a hotel for one night, and then the remaining nights at a similar place nearby (but that we would need to find on our own). This was unacceptable so we asked for a full refund.」

「What a lovely home, thoughtfully decorated and fantastic location! We found the communication with the owners was super great, check in and check out were seamless. The fireplace on the outside porch was a very nice treat! The home has everything you need from lush bath towels, ample cookware, etc. the downstairs was a great play room for kids, with an air hockey table. We will definitely be back as we enjoy the wine and brewery area this home is so close to. 」
