With new restrictions and safety precautions in place, travel looks a lot different nowadays. These are some helpful things to know before you hop on that plane to Mont-Cascades:

• Find out the rules and restrictions in both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check before you lock something in.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, even at screening checkpoints. Be ready to lower your mask for ID purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• To minimize the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA agent.
• You are now allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll need to remove it for X-ray screening.
• To reduce handling during the screening process, place items such as your belt, phone and wallet into your carry-on rather than into the bins.
• If you're planning to take food on board, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This lessens the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to handle your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.

• Canadian North - this airline is known for cleaning with disinfectant and providing passenger masks.
