"My family enjoyed this place for our home base in San Diego. We liked the rooftop views and getting the ocean breeze. The pizza spot close to the rental was amazingly good! The beach and coffee stand are only a couple blocks away. We got a small car so that we could park it in the garage but it is impossible to get into so we had to park in the street. Beware of the street sweeping- we got a ticket because we didn’t see the sign. Would be nice to have AC in the master room but it was ok since we were out during the day. My older son complained that the loft needed shades because the street lights are bright and pointed towards there."

"The house was great! Exactly what we needed for my son’s graduation. The host was very responsive and we even left some items in a rush to catch our flight after a long few days on base. They retrieved and mailed them to us. Right on the beach and walking distance to store or restaurant. We found it nice to cook while watching the sunset and the kids enjoying the beach and Ocean!"

"Outstanding location on Mission Beach that you can’t beat! The place is kept in good standing, and the hosts are very responsive.It is worth noting that (as flagged in the listing) there is no air conditioning. The hosts added fans to the bedrooms, but it can get a bit hot at night in peak summer. The living room / front of the unit is perfectly fine though, because there is a screened door to the balcony that lets in the ocean breeze."

"The views are amazing with lots of windows. The Great Room view is of the channel that leads to the ocean, so lots of boat activity to watch. Great views from Bedroom 1 and the Master Bedroom of the water. The condo is very spacious, lots of seating (which sometimes can be hard to find) - enough for 6-8 adults to sit on the couches. While we didn't need two dining areas, I can see how useful it would be with larger families, and the extra space allowed us to store our beach gear. Another great feature was the parking! This was the best parking of any place we stayed. Enclosed, secured parking garage with two regular sized spaces. If you have ever tried to park here at Mission Beach - you know how hard it can be and how small the spaces are - not here, it was great! I was a little concerned there might be street noises since the condo does face a street that is an entrance to beach parking, but there were no issues at all. The walk to the beach was a little longer than if you have a place right on the boardwalk, but was no longer than 10 minutes with all our gear. The walk to the bay side was even closer. We did have some issues with the beach equipment not being in the best condition and the grill not working, but we did not alert the owner during the stay. There was debate about the comfortableness of the beds, but the one I slept in was comfortable. :-) We would stay here again."
