"Great cafe area to work in"

"After meeting our friends and spending an evening in Cambridge we returned to the crown and punchbowl for a night cap before bed and and found the bar was shut up and all staff had gone home. It was 10.45pm. So our evening ended quite abruptly. Our room which was on the first floor, was a little on the small side, with only a skyline window, and unfortunately the blind didn't keep the light out, so it was very bright at 5am. Also I feel the pillows could be better quality. We have stayed at the pub before and would try and request a ground floor room again as more spacious. But overall a very nice peaceful stay and would recommend 👌"

"Highly recomended these converted stables with a modern revamp. Room and bathroom were lovely and clean aside from an odd cobweb. Parking was perfect directly outside our accommodation. Rooms are oppopsite the bar and restaurant. The inn has lots of character and history. Only saw one member of staff the whole time who was quiet but helpful. Not having a reception area meant sometimes he was hard to find. Daily housekeepibg with drink sachets refilled. Our room also had a fridge in the wardrobe. We had a radiator so easy to keep warm if needed. Theres a play area on site and outdoor seating will be nice in the summer. Perfect loalcation to expore cambridge. Much quieter than the city with 3 other pubs near by as well as a country park, close to park and ride - 15 min walk and £3 bus or £13 for a taxi to central Cambrige."

"we booked to stay here for work on the 15th November on arrival the first thing to hit us was the smell disgusting oil smell the smell hits you as soon as you enter, the property unfortunately didn't get any better. the stair carpet was frayed and stained and dirty, the dining table which was dirty and stick yuk was pushed up right in front of the sofa bed so was unusable. the kitchen flooring had great big tear marks in it! the rest of the property was in pretty much in the sane shabby dirty condition. reached out to the company to get refund straight away they took no responsibility whatsoever. we booked another property at our own expense and left. at considerable cost to us. we rand and emailed the company they refused to accept responsibility and refused the refund and did not reply to emails we sent. we have asked our bank for charge back and were truly shocked how this company's customer service is! do not book this property, we booked through expedia who stated we had to get in touch with pass the property. never book with this company spare yourself the disappointment, stress and hassle."
