    NEIGHBORHOOD DESCRIPTION:

Just a 15-minute walk from Frattini Flats, you’ll reach the Naviglio Grande, where you can set out on a relaxing stroll, a bike ride, or stretch your legs with a jog. All kinds of venues are within easy reach, including the Tortona-Savona area, famous for its design, museums, and iconic landmarks.

This apartment offers a comfortable base for those who want to drop off their bags and head out to explore the city, then return after a day of shopping and museum visits to a very relaxing and comfortable apartment.

Piazza Frattini is the heart of the entire Lorenteggio neighborhood due to its urban location within the surrounding densely populated area, a high concentration of economic activity, and the prominent presence of the Church of the Immaculate Conception with the adjacent Padre Monti Institute on the square.

The Jewish Quarter south of Piazzale Bande Nere is a place with a unique atmosphere in the city, especially during holidays such as Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) and Hanukkah (the Festival of Lights). It extends as far as Via Washington and is home to both secular and Hasidic communities, of Sephardic or Ashkenazi origin. There is a huge selection of kosher restaurants, and the atmospheres of the bars and diners range from whimsical to exotic. It’s also the only place in Milan where you can enjoy New York-style bagels and pastrami!

Hidden among the residential buildings north of the square is the little church of Molinazzo, an ancient oratory that was originally part of a farmstead likely founded by the Knights Templar in the Middle Ages.

There’s also a curious little corner where the streets are named after flowers and are lined with row houses: it’s the Villaggio dei Fiori, a public housing project built at the end of World War II to house those displaced by air raids. It is located near Lorenteggio and will soon become an open-air art gallery thanks to the creation of 38 large Olympic-themed murals in anticipation of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.

The Bande Nere / Inganni neighborhood also offers plenty of green spaces, including a garden dedicated to the writer Alberto Moravia, featuring rare tree species such as the Atlas cedar. A short distance away is the Parco delle Cave di Baggio, a wonderful green space featuring artificial ponds and urban gardens.

The neighborhood is also strategically located for access to the Tangenziale Ovest, which in turn is well-connected to major highway networks such as the A8 to the Lakes and the A4 Turin-Trieste.

    GETTING AROUND THE AREA:

To reach the apartment by public transportation, the best option is to go to Cadorna (MM1 and MM2, Malpensa Express, all connected train stations) and take bus 58, which arrives near the apartment after 12 stops (20 minutes).
