"We had a lovely stay at the Chedi in Muscat in early April and found it a very relaxing place to stay with family including teenagers. The staff were very friendly and courteous. One suggestion is to improve the atmosphere by arranging some activities and themed nights to engage the guests."

The hotel was fantastic though and we enjoyed every min of being there. We will come again. Just rather we didn't have the VIP carrot dangled in front of us by Expedia - not the hotel."

"We stayed here 10 years ago and wanted to return to visit nearby sights. Its fine as accomodation goes but the staff were a little distant... We now know the hotel is closing for refurb in June and new ownership once that is complete, so next year we assume. I think it maybe doesn't fit with the Anantara brand any longer ! "This is an amazing property. I love the adult pool and the restaurant Blu during the day and of course they have a fabulous beach on the Dead Sea itself. The helpful staff at the beach make sure you get the complete soak, mud, soak and salt scrub treatment - be sure to leave them a tip. At reception we were upgraded to a villa and the staff was so helpful, especially Ivan who seemed to be everywhere. The belly dancer is amazing and simply put gorgeous. This is my favorite hotel on the Dead...

"Nice hotel, by the beach. The best part of this hotel is the "Patiserie" that is open 24 hours with snacks, cakes, drinks and extremely nice and accommodating staff, always smiling and polite. Good gym with lots of equipment. Overpriced prices at the spa. Lots of groups of older men, due to the hotel proximity to a golf course, but not an issue. The seafood restaurant overpriced, with good food, but there is a variety of fish at the regular buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner."

"Staff was very friendly. Hotel seems a bit dated. Beach swimming was closed due to recent flooding, but the beach seating was open and lovely. Location is good. Valet parking made things easy. "
