Very very large room with unobstructed view of the city. Great amenity and an amazing breakfast buffet. Very hospital staffs. Definitly a must stay in Yilan. We used Yilan as a base and took the train to Hualin to visit the Taroko National Park. This hotel locates about a km away from Yilan train station, best to go with a short taxi ride.

I imagine the Hotel Relax quality is similar amongst all locations. Very smooth check in, and after dropping off my luggage in my room I took a look at the amenities. The kitchen area has a microwave, water machine, coffee machine, and tea machine depositing milk tea which is awesome even if I didn't take advantage of it. Next to this kitchen area with a sink is a common area with plenty of seats, though the AC was not turned on and I wasn't sure how to turn it on when I ate there. There are also lockers nearby that has room for large luggages, though I imagine that when they are occupied, luggages are instead stored near the front entrance. Not unsafe given the frequent monitoring and secure area, but the lockers may not always be available. The standard single was very small. I enjoyed it as I never needed to open a large luggage, but it would be very difficult to leave a large luggage out on the floor. I did have a small carry-on open at all times, but the walkways remained tight with it there. Water had accumulated near the bathroom and room windows, but it never happened again after arrival. The bathroom(s, as the shower and toilet are separate) were very clean and functional. Everything was very clean, with maybe small areas near the windows being slightly dirty. The AC also sometimes exuded a musty smell, likely due to the dehumidifying feature. Very convenient in location as it's a few minutes walking from Taipei Main Station, and all in all an excellent place!

Very nice rooms - spacious and clean. Professional and helpful staff. Convenient location next to the MRT & Shilin Nightmarket.
