This hotel offers a premium experience. Check in/out desks are not what the average hotel offers. The desks offer a more unique experience for the guest with most of the time eye level service, no matter how tall or short you are. The only disadvantage to this is, there aren't many staff working, so wait times can soar. The restaurant on site is delicious and the prices comparable to that of local competition: Chilies, TGI Friday's, etc. Sadly, some menu items don't seem to be available all of the time. The service is exceptional no matter how many guest fill the tables. Breakfast buffet is decent. but, in my opinion overpriced for what was served. With the mall just downstairs, finding something to fill your belly is easy enough. The swimming pool is a decent size and the middle hits about 5ft. A refreshing swim is nice after a long day. The outdoor hot tub can easily fit 10 people. Its giant, and the heat makes it very relaxing. The rooms are typically small. They do offer larger rooms for a higher price, but there is enough room to get around. The temperature on the shower does not exceed that of the hot tub. -Which is somewhat disappointing. The bed is the only extreme downfall to this hotel. It was hard as a rock. I think the carpet on the floor offers more give. In just 1 night, I had dislodged my Sacrum. The hotel in general would have won me for a future stay, but I cannot come back because of the bed.

Amazing stay overall. Great location and amenities. Breakfast options were very good. Gym and pool looked high end. Staff are highly professional and polite. They go out of their way to greet their guests which is a huge plus for me. However, the microwave did not work on my first day and had to be replaced. Door lock/latch had to be replaced. Communication issues regarding replacing bedsheets/towels presented a minor challenge but were immediately rectified. I’d stay here again and that’s mainly because of the staff’s warmth and hospitality. The other issues were minor.

Overall it’s a great place to stay, the only thing is my niece got bitten by bed bugs that resulted to swollen eyelids and some on her forehead and on her ear lobes. The rest are good.

Very homely feel. Spacious. Washer and dryer.. Full 20 litre water bottle a hit. Close to shops and restaurants. 2 things not great. TV channels. Sky TV - so many channels not subscribed to. of 135 maybe only 50 working. Bathub shower. For me pretty dangerous. Leg over and slippery. Prefer a standalone shower.

Christmas family trip to Manila
As a family trip, we booked 3 rooms at Ascott Makati. None of the 3 rooms we booked with Hotels.com was what he had booked. Our 2 deluxe studios with kitchenette and washing machine were just bedrooms and our executive studio came with a shower only when it said in the description it had a shower tub combination. This was all very frustrating after arriving late at night flying from London. The next day, they managed to upgrade our executive studio to a one bedroom unit, but our other 2 rooms remained just bedrooms not studios due to very high occupancy. I am not sure if this was the fault of hotels.com or the hotel itself. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning and proximity to shopping mall was brilliant, just a couple of steps outside and we were in the mall which was great! Overall we enjoyed staying at Ascott Makati.

Location is its main selling point, right next to Glorietta and within walking distance of any place in Makati. The condition of the room has worsen a bit compared to what it was when I stayed in 2017/18. The shower door does not close properly, the toilet in the first floor has a broken seat, and no soap at all! Nevertheless, the room was quiet, the internet was good even with video calls and the restaurant though limited had relatively good food.
