"We arrived late at night and we got a great welcome and our room was large and very clean and comfortable. The large windows overlooked the garden - splendid sight in the morning! Breakfast was very good and dinner was in a different area and delightful. The grounds are huge including a golf course. The pool and surrounding area is grass with good sun loungers. Boutique high-quality hotels in the country is absolutely our thing and this lovely Son Mas Hotel Rural does not disappoint. From the stunning tranquility of the infinity pool overlooking open countryside to our beautiful suite with a private terrace it is just the most wonderful place to stay. If you do go half-board, make sure you don’t have a big lunch."

"The hotel is in a great location, we chose B & B rather than all inclusive and the breakfasts were good, always plenty of choice. The staff were lovely. The pool is small which could cause a problem in peak season but it was fine while we were there. The two issues we had were; 1. Aircon- outside of peak season there is no aircon in the rooms. The staff said it was because people complained it was too cold and it wasn’t needed. It was 25° during the day, aircon would be nice. 2. Soundproofing,...

"We booked this 4* property on the basis it had 5 outdoor tennis courts. It actually had no tennis courts. Manager refused to speak with us or provide refund when we checked out for another hotel that did have tennis courts onsite. Extremely bad service"

"we visited this hotel out of season, so it was relatively quiet, but very enjoyable. the apartments are well stocked with pans, tea towels, washing up liquid etc. There is plenty of space for 2 (I wouldn't recommend for 3) and it is only a short walk to shops and the beach (although the hill is quite steep). We had a hire car which was invaluable for getting about, but if you want just beach and pool holiday, this is not necessary."
