"The property did not look like the pictures on Expedia website which seem photoshopped, the sign has fell of the front of the hotel and the hotel room had stains on the walls and roof. The hotel is also part farm and the animals look sick. Maybe this was a nice hotel in the past but now it’s just not fit for purpose."

"Beautiful property to stay at. The grounds are very well maintained. Beautiful pool (unheated but nice and cool on a hot day!). Wonderful coffee shop. Very nice restaurant (I used for breakfasts). The architecture of the newer buildings (restaurant, coffee shop, tea house) is really nice and modern and fits wonderfully in with the rustic feel and look of the old tobacco barns. "I stayed here a year ago and i returned to have more time to enjoy the amenities and have a villa with a jacuzzi. I would stay here again. There is nothing to do but stay on the property the entire time. One menu, but extensive. An above average breakfast buffet. Stunning scenery. Photogenic terraced swimming pools 2 freezing. One warm (not hot.). Only negatives were the shower water was intermittently hot and the room a/c doesn't have a heating mode which was needed in the mountains in January. The staff, upon request, brought more blankets and a portable electric heater."
