"Egypt & its sights are awesome. Everything in Egypt is awesome except that 99.9% of Egyptian people are trying to scam money out of you. Yes, even your Hotel. Its exhausting & demoralizing, trying to keep a good mood & enjoy your trip while all Egyptians see "all tourists" as "marks". I have been all over the world to some of the most impoverished countries & never have I felt like I did in Egypt. "We stayed in the family room (changed from double), as the double room was a dark pit. The family room was spacious for 2 people, for a small additional fee. The hotel is in a convenient location, a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal, but there are no signs so its difficult to find. There is a shortcut through the hotel, which we didnt know about until the final day, so ask the staff about that. The breakfast was OK, bread, an egg, some cucumber/tomaoes, and condiments (jam/honey). We...

Definitely different from the run of the mill Western style hotels, only minutes away from the Nile..Way more peaceful than the east bank situated in a very friendly village. The management and staff were amazingly helpful and kind. The restaurant was great, we never even bothered eating anywhere else. "
