Stunning property with a beautiful and easy walk down to a quiet and private beach. Helpful staff that are really invested in you having a great time. Some of the fundamentals around the property not being too well kept were an issue, as well as extremely strong smelling cleaning products used in the rooms and on the linens, but those issues were over shadowed by this wonderful, odd, cute place with a lovely staff. I recommend this for anyone staying in the area!

Diego, and the ladies working at the hotel made our trip amazing. We were nearly alone at the hotel with stunning views and amazing whales swimming in the bay. Hotel was breathtaking, the beach completely private, and the mezcalitas were great. Food was expensive and not exactly there on value to quality yet - I’m sure that will change. Service and turn down service was great along with our fire pit at the beach. Unforgettable stay

Staff were wonderful, very helpful and courtesy. The food is devine. Actually, the entire place is definitely a 10 out of 10. Worth the drive down a long dusty road. We watched whales, pelicans, frigate birds and even the Great Egret .. all during breafast, kunch and dinner.

Ohh my gosh!! This was amazing. This is a small hotel. We had access to a pool the beach, the dining room is 6 tables. The drinks were amazing, especially the margaritas!! They were out of chocolate brownie so the next night our waiter asked the chef to make a Chocolate cake for me!! I really had no words for how private and taken care of we felt. I would 100% stay here again!!

Amazing stay at Villa del Faro. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The grounds and facilities are amazing. We went snorkeling at the nearby Cabo Pulmo and it was fantastic.

Beautiful Property, Tough August Stay — Saved by Incredible Staff We stayed at La Valise Los Cabos in August — beautiful property, but not the right season or setup for it. Temperatures hit 37°C, and AC was only available at night (apparently due to solar panel capacity limits), leaving daytime genuinely hard to bear. The property also sits in rugged, undeveloped desert with nothing walkable nearby, so you're confined to a small space while dealing with intense heat. Food and drinks were delicious when available, but the menu was often depleted — again seemingly tied to the same infrastructure limits, not lack of effort. What truly saved our stay was the staff , especially Adan and Alvaro. They were kind, knowledgeable, and endlessly helpful, anticipating problems before we even noticed them and handling constant supply and cooling challenges with real grace. Honestly, we don't think the stay would have been enjoyable without them. They are the heart of this property, and management should recognize what exceptional people they have. Bottom line: gorgeous property fighting its own infrastructure in August — but Adan and Alvaro turned a potentially disappointing trip into one we'll remember fondly.

Magical retreat

Beautiful and peaceful location. The property is a very special off-grid compound that has been nicely adapted to an eco bed and breakfast. The food was excellent and all staff and fellow guests were lovely. If you like off-the-beaten path experiences you will be well rewarded.

This place is incredible! If you are even contemplating staying here, think no more and book it! We travel all over the world and have found few places that can even compare to this place. It is out of the way and totally worth it. We stayed in the stone beach cottage, and it was even more perfect than we imagined. It is a truly secluded beach (be prepared for lots of steps, but there is parking close to the cottage). The food is great, and you cannot beat the scenery. The staff is beyond amazing, especially Hector. I would honestly give this more than 5 stars if it was available. We most certainly will be back.

La Valise Los Cabos es de esos lugares que no pasan desapercibidos. Única, con un punto excéntrico que le da muchísimo carácter y un encanto muy especial. No es una propiedad convencional, y justamente ahí está su magia. La habitación amplísima, muy cómoda y con vistas preciosas desde sus múltiples terrazas. Se siente la privacidad en todo momento, algo que valoro muchísimo en Baja. Y la playa… sorprendentemente nadable y realmente linda gran plus para la zona. Se percibe que están en una etapa de ajuste con la nueva administración, pero aun así la propiedad cumple y la experiencia es muy agradable. El equipo es atento, cálido y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. El restaurante es cumplidor: buena cocina tradicional mexicana, bien hecha, aunque nada extraordinario. Ojalá se animen a llevarlo un poco más lejos porque el lugar tiene todo para ofrecer algo más memorable también en lo gastronómico. En resumen, un lugar perfecto para desconectar, bajar revoluciones y conectar con la esencia verdadera de Baja con personalidad, privacidad y ese aire relajado que tanto se agradece.

A Magical Getaway

This place is magical and the owners and service staff have got to be the coolest and most amazing people you will ever meet. We just wanted to be friends with them, and we are staying in touch with them. The guests are also the best one could expect--all environmentally conscious world travelers. It seems all the cool people we've ever wanted to meet are congregating here. Everyday, breakfasts and dinners inevitably turn into long and fascinating discussions of life, friendship, travels, music, arts, the environment, the world. Unbelievable.

Amazing Bestie Moon

We had a memorable time at the Villa del Faro with my best friend. We booked the beach house where we enjoyed the ocean view being completely alone. The best way to contemplate the sun rise, take a swim, watch the stars in the night and drink a glass around a campfire. The host are very nice people and the food is great, all we were looking for at the boutique hotel far from the big resorts. Just be aware that the way to join the hotel from the airport is a bit long and the road not easy.

We LOVED staying in the Beach Cottage at Villa del Faro. The property is absolutely beautiful, the owners and staff friendly and so fun to talk to, and the food and drink amazing. We are planning to come back and bring friends! 10/10 would recommend.

Boutique hotel in every sense; there are only 8 casitas and we were the only guests for some nights. The staff attended to anything we needed and the dinners were divine. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Villa de Faro was 4 days of bliss. The villa and all the suites are breathtakingly beautiful. The level of taste that created the villa is apparent in every detail. It is small, elegantly casual, aesthetically built and decorated. We stayed in two casitas, the stone cottage on the beach for 2 nights, so much fun. And a large suite surrounded by gardens and overlooking the pool and sea. We could hear the whales slap the surface at night. Meals were beautifully prepared and served. The staff was a combination of family members and warm friendly hospitality pros. We were made to feel like honored guests from check in to departure. A real treat we will want to repeat.

Gorgeous boutique hotel

I had a wonderful stay at Villa del Faro--I spent one night solo to recuperate after a girl's weekend in Cabo. The pictures don't do the place justice--it is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food and drinks were great, and my suite (Casa Azul) was private and comfortable. Unfortunately when I stay the weather didn't allow for much swimming, but I enjoyed relaxing by the beach with a book and listening to the waves. Note that this is in a remote area with no restaurants/entertainment in walking distance, if that's what you're looking for. I'd recommend Villa del Faro to anyone who want a beautiful and unique getaway.
