It was okay, but poor communication with host
The apartment was alright, just a bit smaller and older than the pictures appear. We were there for a very short stay, so we were hoping to get out quick to grab food and check out a few places. I had emailed Amy a few times, but they came back undeliverable and no response from her on HomeAway. She did email a few times, but they seemed automated since they never addressed what I was saying on my emails. Upon arrival, we were sent a note that Valerie would meet us there. We waited over an hour for her with no responses to our texts. I was finally able to get halfway decent reception to call her, and she said she didn’t need to meet us there anyway if nothing was wrong. But she wanted me to send her pictures of all of our passports, which I found odd (I told her I wouldn’t send it with our info displayed). She said it was in case of a terrorist attack so they’d know who was staying there (which they already had our names), or in case there was damage (which they had our credit card info on home away). Again, not the person on the booking, nor did we ever meet her. And she told us for checking out to leave the keys on the table (unlocked) instead of the lockbox we got them from. I just felt uncomfortable with it all, along with the apartment being a little disappointing compared to the pictures, wasn’t a great experience. But the location was really good.
