Retaining original beams, this stone-built cottage was originally used as a stable block, giving the property its name.

It is situated next to a working farm in the pretty village of East Witton, just a few miles from the market town of Leyburn. This is a great destination for anyone looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales, with walking trails nearby, as well as Jervaulx Abbey and Braithwaite Hall. The village has an award-winning traditional pub serving seasonal local cuisine in front of a roaring fire, great for unwinding after a day exploring.

The amenities of Middleham are just a short drive away, and include excellent old pubs and local restaurants, as well as a well-stocked general store and imposing castle. A walkers’ haven, with the challenge of Penhill a particular favourite. Or why not plan a day out to ‘The Forbidden Corner’ a walled garden with surprises sure to delight those who visit. Golf and horse riding nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
