"The apartment was very clean upon arrival, checkin was easy, (keys in a lock box). Lots to see and do everything within walking distance. The beach 5 min walk and a large grocery also 5 min away. If you have mobilty issues this place has 34 steps to walk up to get in. There was no housekeeping and no broom to sweep up all the fallen palapa grass from the roof of the apt which seems to fall daily."

"Pleasantly surprised. This looks like a small motel, but is an apartment complex that rents out a few units. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom a separate from the kitchen dining room. Just a few blocks from the beach… and a great beach club. For a low budget trip, this place was just great. The staff did not speak any english but google translate helped to facilitate good communication. "

"We had a great visit at the Riu Palace. We traveled with friends and took advantage of the free transportation to and from the airport. The hotel is just as beautiful as when we were there 18 months ago. Even though the beach was full of sargassum the pools had enough seating for everyone. Food was fantastic although I missed being able to have pastor tacos every day. Service is great and the piano player in the lobby is a special touch. Rooms are well appointed. I love how I don’t feel nickel and dimed at every corner at this resort. The staff feels generous, which is refreshing. Will return again! Tempted to try another Riu palace but I don’t think I can quit this one."

"This was our third time back in five years. The food has always been just okay. In some instances bland but we knew our favorite restaurants to go to. But we didn't know this time was it was low occupancy and they shut it down for dinner. That was our go to for the restaurants we do not like. By having no other options, it put an emphasis on the bland food. This is still a really good resort and it checks off a lot of boxes.If you don't like to go into the ocean because of seaweed this resort is a place to try If the buffet is open for dinner."
