Perfect stay!!

Great location, plenty of beautiful snow! Beautiful views from every window. Well-stocked, comfy beds, nice touches like games and kitchen spices to make it feel like home. Friendly neighbors(we are chatty and met a few on our walks). Groomed trail down the street. No complaints here at all!!

nice cabin feel

Nice cabin, good appliances and beds. The outside porch switch is out so loading up for hunting in the dark was challenging with out any light. same if you needed to go out to the car at night

A relaxing and quiet getaway!

We wanted a getaway in the woods with stars and that’s exactly what we got! The kitchen has all the basics and more. The beds are comfortable and the cabin is exactly as pictured. The deck overlooks a nice lake and there are friendly squirrels and the hummingbirds are amazing! I highly recommended this location for a quiet getaway!

Cozy Cabin with all the conveniences

One of us had stayed before, so a repeat visit for them. Short drive from downtown Leadville. Very well maintained home with all kitchenware you may need, and it's all very clean! A tidy, well loved cabin. Deck overlooking pond is beautiful, we love the light and reflection. Quiet neighborhood. Would return for sure! One small caveat, we found difficulty with streaming. We were able to text and check email from phones, so that works!

Renter be aware

Overall it is a pleasant peaceful location and cabin. As you consider this cabin for your vacation, realize that the pictures are deceiving. There is a cupboard door and drawer face missing, the outside of the cabin is in desperate need of some paint and stain, there are neighbors close by, you may not use the fire pit or canoe, there are water stains on the ceiling and one wall, the fireplace is tiny, there isn't easy access to the lake and no real place to sit down by the lake. The pictures on the listing do not reveal these things. You do, however, have beautiful views of the lake the cabin has good room. When fixed up this will be a great destination, but it needs someone to stop and make some repairs and pay attention to the details of the place and your stay.

WiFi issues, no blinds, and tall weeds and grass

There is no cell service at this rental making WiFi an absolute must to stay connected to family, etc. Upon arrival, the WiFi password was incorrect. We had no way of communicating with owner or ANYONE until we left the property the next day and drove into an area with cell service. I text immediately once I had service. I was told to enter the password on the bottom of the router. That did not work either, and we were without cell or WiFi yet again the second night. I text again the third day and was told repeatedly that I was most likely entering the password wrong. I was told the owner had stayed there prior to our stay and had changed it. Then I was told another renter changed it. I was then told had I contacted them upon arrival they could’ve problem solved sooner. Very condescending. How could I contact anyone with no WiFi or cell service? My exact words to them were that statement wasn’t needed. Common sense tells you I had no means of contacting anyone without service. I had no intentions of leaving a review, but after the less than cooperative texts between myself and the manager, I decided to leave one. I finally ended up connecting to WiFi by entering a key phrase on bottom of router. The password on router did NOT work. I was never told to enter key phrase. I did that on my own hoping to get connected. Thank goodness it worked. I pointed out to the manager that there were very tall weeds growing everywhere in the yard. Their response was that wasn’t accurate because the owners had just been there and weeded. I replied I was standing there looking at yard and the weeds and grass were both very high. I was told someone would be there to mow and weed. I replied no way did I want to spend the rest of my vacation with loud machinery and people working in the yard. I was offered a full refund if we left right then or to relocate to another one of their properties. I declined both offers because we didn't wish to disrupt our vacation by packing and moving elsewhere. I have all of these texts saved on my phone. I also have pictures of the yard and spiderwebs that were everywhere upstairs. There are NO blinds or curtains in kitchen, dining, or living room area. This is a privacy and light issue. Several windows didn't have screens, so lots of flies and mosquitoes came inside. Some windows wouldn’t open at all. Back porch had some boards that were very weak and cracked. Stray dog came around every day on back porch and growled at us. Beware!

The cabin was a great getaway! Everything was so quiet and secluded, just as advertised. The weather was amazing, with cool nights and beautiful days. We really enjoyed our stay!

Our goal was to stay a few days at a mountain cabin getaway, where the weather would be cool during the middle of the summer and a place where we could relax. This property certainly fit the bill. It was quiet, comfortable had everything we needed for simple cooking in the kitchen and on the grill. The bedrooms were also comfortable and the HVAC and plumbing all worked fine.

Great stay, just outside Leadville

Cabin was wonderfully kept and a great location outside of town. Met all my needs and then some. Would recommend for anyone coming to the are, had a whole second bedroom upstairs that I never used!!

Lake View

This home was perfect for the four adults in our group. The home itself was very nice and well appointed with views of the lake below. Hiking was easily accessible and it was easy to travel to Leadville. We all enjoyed our stay.

Nice cabin in the woods

Beautiful view of the pond, nice amenities, clean, and great communication from the owner. Wireless internet connection was lost at times and there is no cell service.

Nice, quiet woodsy cabin needs better attention to details

We were happy with our overall stay but not so impressed with the lack of attention to maintenance. Had to grab a broom and sweep visible cobwebs in the corners along the ceiling. The view was great but not as enjoyable with dirty windows and screens. The blinds on couple of the windows were not operable and dusty. Broken lid on the toilet which would fall. Loose hinges on the cabinets. Burnt out bulbs on the deck so not much lighting in the evenings. The kitchen is well stocked but the pots and pens not safe to use, scratched up and burned. The dryer vent was plugged up so we had to clean it before use. The deck is nice but the table and chairs uncomfortable and very dirty. Finally the back door lock did not work, we could not secure the place fully when we were out but it worked in our favor when the code for the front door didn’t work the next day. We probably wouldn’t stay here again but if they can up their maintenance and cleaning it can be a great place to stay. Beds were comfortable, great dining room table for a group of six.

Some 👍, some could use attention

Loved the location. Beautiful view from deck and fire pit area. Less than 10 min to Colorado Trail/CDT Tennessee pass trailhead which was why we chose this area for a day hike. Updated kitchen very nice and loved the layout and appreciated the washer/dryer. There was water damage near the fireplace and mold was an issue. A ceiling fan in the bedroom would be nice. Just seemed stuffy. Trail to the lake was short but very steep/slick with pine needles (yes, I fell). There are remnants of steps that would make it much easier/safer if they were redone. Looked forward to using the canoe, but didn’t want to chance another fall

Cute, quiet cabin

My best friend and I stayed here for a couple of days. It’s the perfect getaway. We loved the deck and view of the pond. There were no neighbors around at the time so it was very quiet. Had everything we needed. Prop manager was helpful with the door code. Thank you! We will recommend to our friends and family.
