"The location of this hotel is excellent. Walking distance to many places and restaurants. Because of a renovation the restaurant only offered buffet style meals, which we don't like, but everything else was very good. "

"I liked the more old-fashioned style and wooden furniture of this place, but various things were a bit worn and the bathroom floor looked rather dirty. Unfortunately, the drains have cockroaches; two showed up from the bathtub drain during my stay. (Plug the drain when not in use if you visit.) In other words, the place needs some work, but not too bad considering the very low price and great location. The front office staff were also very polite and helpful."

"Very beautiful, clean rooms without carpet, which for me is a massive bonus. Staff was helpful and efficient, and all amenities included were lovely and high-quality. Buyer beware if travelling with a car though, self parking can get a little bit confusing and expensive, as well as the opening/closing schedule being sometimes inconvenient. "

"We love staying at the Sylvia! Fantastic location and a safe and quiet part of town for travelling with kids. Rooms are large enough to stretch out as a family of 5. Staff are very polite and friendly and the restaurant does a great breakfast. "
