「This was my first stay, I visited family for the weekend the location is perfect it’s newly built renovation was still going on but didn’t bother us even area was clean the staff are friendly this is definitely a place to stay in the Pocono area」

「Fantastic hotel. Everything was clean , and well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel shows it age, but they do a great job keeping everything up to date. Breakfast was your traditional continental breakfast, but tasted great and fresh. The pool was warm and I enjoyed that they keep it open until 10pm. I was able to take a quick dip after dinner. The pool is a heated as well.」

「The reviews of this place are incredibly polarizing. Some people think it is the worst place they have ever seen. Others think of it as a twee little time capsule, an example of the pocono mountains in their former glory. The truth is a bit in between, though it is, in cat the worst place I have ever stayed. (And I am a sucker for cheap motels) You can see evidence of its former glory. It seems kinda clean, but it is very run down. Whoever runs this place has done a number of shoddy repairs....

「Rooms very outdated bathrooms very dirty dim lighting through out room maintenance man came to fix the TV drunk balcony rooms balcony is terrible very dirty desk guy let me see a couple of rooms before I just had to settle he was very helpful and apologetic I will not return to this location wouldn't even want a short stay to get a quickie」

「First and foremost Split Rock did not make me aware that we were staying separately from the actual hotel. This may have been a blessing because the hotel seems like its falling apart. Everything is old and needs to be updated. The place is so dirty and things donts even work. I was very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning. The waterpark was horrendous」

「Honestly, my family and I travel VERY often. This has to be one of the WORST stays we’ve experienced. Found bed bugs, pool had some molding around the edges and by chairs, pool and gym had codes in order to get in the doors which we needed to do about 3 times in order for them to work. On top of that there was a scary moment where the maintenance staff was caught peeping through peoples peak holes (including mine) and when confronted he lied and said he didn’t do that when I witnessed it with my...

「We really loved our two night stay at the inn. The innkeepers were super welcoming and attentive. The original (quirky?) decor was both personal and a welcome relief from boring corporate chain hotels or stuffy “colonial” inns. Our bed was comfy and we had a room with a loveseat, so we could relax there while watching TV. Chef/co-owner Mark Arnao makes a mean breakfast, so don’t skip the chef’s special! 「Loved everything about the property and location. Overall cleanliness is excellent. The room was very welcoming and clean except the shower. There was hair on the bodywash bottle and on the walls. Someone who has been in hospitality for over 15 years i understanding things can be missed unintentionally so it doesn't bother me as much. But it would help if the rooms were double checked.」
