Easy walk to the lake in the backyard

I had booked another nearby lakeside house for 4th weekend but the host was giving me bad vibes so I searched for another listing and reached out to this host who was accommodating. The entrance is up the stairs, so be prepared to carry your luggage or coolers. There is a bottom entrance for the basement floor but it is off limits along with the detached unit which they are renovating to turn it into an entertainment center. Even though we could not use that space, the home was still spacious inside and outside. There's no dinner table inside the house but a table outside on the patio. There were plenty of sofas all around the living room. Each upstairs bedroom had a walk out deck and the master had a walk out enclosed deck patio space. The walk on the sandy beach was not as bad as we thought it would be but there are some rocks so be careful bringing your jetski or boat to shore to switch riders. The lake still had algae but the algaecide was doing its work and killing it which is probably why the lake was pretty empty. The fridge did stop getting cold on the 2nd day so we had to get ice down the street to keep our drinks cold and meat frozen. I didn't get my check in instructions but other than that the host was responsive and the neighbors were friendly. The host allowed us to sing karaoke which is what we mostly did inside because it was too hot to go outside. It would have been great if the entertainment center was available to use so we could sing and dance in there.

House is a great location to the dock. Great place to tie up the boat, go grab lunch, hang out, then get back on the lake. The house seemed to have mostly new furniture everywhere. Tons of sleeping and hang out space. The VRBO website had some glitches and that caused some communication issues with the property manager at check in. But it’s how one handles those issues afterward, right? The property manager went above and beyond to ensure the rest of the trip went well which was really appreciated!! Great weekend!
