Top Lake Desolation State Forest Hotel Reviews

Relaxing tranquil setting, hot tub, fire pit; Pet friendly.

8/10 Good

"Property was quaint and in a nice quiet location but not too far away from attractions like the race track. If you plan on using the hot tub make sure the heat is on when you get there because it takes almost a day to heat up if it is not on. Other than that everything was great for a relaxing weekend"

Victorian Lakehouse with private beach

10/10 Excellent

"We are so thrilled we made the decision to stay here and celebrate with our family. The house is perfect for our reunion and the game room, kayaks, cornhole, and lake access were a hit. The road was very busy (it was a holiday weekend at the end of the season so we expected this) however we made sure to watch our kids (10&9) cross and/or go with them to the lake no problem. We had everything we needed and I personally LOVED relaxing on the covered porch. We also liked being down the street from a local restaurant The Dive. The hosts were amazing, informative, and given we were coming from the west coast, this helped so much. We took up the recommendation to go into town for apple cider donuts made year round and the 5or10 store. Our kids said it was one of their favorite vacations. We hope to be able to do this again next year!"

Cozy pond-view, vintage charm, nature trails, canoe, firepit, & pet-friendly fun—12 mi from Saratoga

10/10 Excellent

"This cabin was clean and comfortable and the stay was very pleasant. It hadn't quite registered when I reserved the cabin that it has an outhouse rather than an indoor bathroom. The outhouse was clean and convenient...but, it was an outhouse."

Country Cottage – Peaceful Pet-Friendly Retreat [5 Miles from Saratoga Springs]

10/10 Excellent

"Nice quiet remote area to stay after busy days in Saratoga. Very comfortable."

Pool, Tennis/Pickleball Court, 5-Bedroom Home, 100 Acres, 15 Minutes to Saratoga

10/10 Excellent

"this is probably the best Vrbo ive ever rented. amazing property. incredibly clean. Joe was a fantastic host. wish I could keep this hidden gem to myself :)"

Cozy Cottage overlooking stream on 60 acres

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed here on the night after our wedding. The name "Off Grid" didn't occur to me until after we got there and there was no light switch lol. We were not completely left in the dark though. They did have these battery powered remote lights that gave us nice romantic intimate atmosphere. And they do have this big huge battery bank thing which we could use to plug our phones and stuff in. The space is small and cozy and let's you unplug from the hustle and bustle of the connected world. It's super tranquil and peaceful!"

Relax at a nature inspired lodge on 60 wooded acres. Dog-friendly, kid-ready, and perfect for groups

10/10 Excellent

"My now wife, stayed here and we used this space as a staging area for our wedding, and it served our needs perfectly. Super spacious and cozy! This space left us with tons of fond memories that will stay with us forever!"

Saratoga's Musical Oasis|Heated Pool|King Bed|Mountain Views|

10/10 Excellent

"This house was the perfect spot for our girls getaway! The listing really does this home no justice. It is beautiful inside and out, impeccably clean and very comfortable!! Having your own bathroom regardless of the room you stay in is a fabulous amenity and the close proximity to SPAC was an added bonus for us! Thank you, James! We will definitely be back!!"

Charming cottage on the Great Sacandaga Lake, perfect for a relaxing getaway

10/10 Excellent

"Henry our host was amazing. Great location for a fishing trip. Will definitely go back."
