Nice resort! The spa was awesome - great massage, and cool spa amenities which you could use the day of your service. The food was good and drinks were good! Staff was very friendly and hospitable. Rooms were cozy and views from the room were awesome! Great location to do anything in the area.

We are beyond happy with this resort. Our room was fantastic with a gorgeous view of the volcano. The staff was incredible! We never felt unwelcomed. Hands down the best vacation EVER! Can't wait to go back.

Views from the balcony of our 4th floor room where breath taking! When we were not enjoying the many pools, we spent a lot of time reading and enjoying drinks with views of Arenal volcano. At arrival we were greeted by Fabian who offered us a welcome beverage as well as a cool towel to refresh ourselves as he explained the hotel and property. Great customer service continued with Sebastian who helped us with our luggage and informed us of all the features in the room. The room has a slot near the door so when you come in the room and insert your key card all the lights and air-conditioning activate. When you leave, they automatically turn off for you to quickly and conveniently help conserve energy. The balcony has chairs and a table along with a huge floor to ceiling sliding glass door that also has a screen door. Reservations at the Lava Restaurant will take you to the 5th floor where you can enjoy great food and service in an intimate setting along with a fantastic view of Arenal. The Emperador is on the main floor and hosts an outstanding breakfast buffet with some daily changes and at night high-class dinner. Breakfast included a large variety of options from omelets made to order, build your own yogurt parfait, fruits, eggs, cheese and meats. Dinner here is incredible! I had cream of corn soup for the app, the special blackened seabass stole the show for dinner and chocolate temptation desert. 5-star experience all around. Thank you to servers Israel, Jose and Tatiana!!

We loved this peacefull, quaint hotel at the foot of theArenal volcano with its pools of termal waters. The fact that it is for adults only enables the place to be more quiet and relaxing. The service is excellent. The quality of the food is high. It is close to town and the main attractions. Very clean. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The staff was amazing. Everything was very clean. The activities were easy to schedule and well run. Would have liked more drink and food menu options. The only real bummer was the noisy animals from the nearby farm.

Overall loved it here, wish they had an all inclusive option. The food and drinks were very overpriced. The staff was incredible, every single person on their team was friendly and it felt like they loved their job which made the experience as a whole even better.

Perfect place to stay in Fortuna. It was so centrally located. I enjoyed my visit very much the hotel is clean and super relaxing. The view every morning of the volcano cannot be beat. I have to give 5 stars to the staff as well they were exceptional. It was hard to leave because the experience was damn mear perfect.

This hotel is an absolute dream. Our stay was perfect. The room was cozy and had a beautiful view of the volcano from our balcony. The thermal mineral pools are unbelievable. The food was great and the staff was so welcoming. They even treated my husband to chocolate covered strawberries for his birthday! Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.

Staff made our honeymoon such a special trip. We were greeted by name, loved the relaxing hot springs, and had to plan nothing since the desk made excursion planning simple. We had beautiful evenings sitting beside palm trees and enjoying the water.

Beautiful property with a ton of different hot spring options and a large sauna. The staff so were so wonderful and would remember you and ask about your previous day. The breakfast was amazing, so many options and all very good. Can book all excursions through them. Staff are always willing to help you and go above and beyond to do so. They take you having a great experience very seriously. Really enjoyed my time there, would absolutely recommend.

I loved everything about this property! It was beautiful and clean and the outside areas were lush and well maintained. The staff is extremely attentive, professional and everyone truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful and unforgettable stay. Everyone was great and nice!! They even did a little surprised for my birthday so great! Clean facility! Made the experience at this hotel wonderful!! Hot springs were great my skin felt so soft after! Would stay here again!

The staff at this property are amazing! They definitely go out of their way to make you happy. The pool bartender and server at dinner, named Israel, is so friendly and welcoming. Aside from the staff, the rooms are comfortable, the views are amazing, great food options, and the spa was spectacular. Our only complaint is that the largest pool that has a pool bar is kept to a very hot temperature- we have not seen anyone want to be in it more than a few minutes. Meanwhile, the one cooler pool is half the size and looked a little dirty by the end of the day. Everything else is so wonderful that we would still plan to stay here again!

Excellent hotel - beds were very comfortable, all areas were very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, the pools and steam room were great. A bit of noise from the main road. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hands down, one of the best places we have ever stayed! Upon arrival, we were greeted by name with a refreshing n/a drink and two cool towels that were scented with aromatherapy oil. They sat us down on a comfy couch so we didn’t need to go to the front desk. They explained everything to us in detail and had our luggage transported to our room. Every day when we walked past the front desk and around the resort, we were greeted with a hello, a smile and a wave. We quickly made friends with Jeslynn at the front desk and others around the resort. At breakfast, they remembered our names and immediately sat us in our favorite spot outside. Jeslynn was our favorite. She always made us laugh with her witty personality and always had a daily lesson to teach us a new phrase or word in Spanish when we interacted with her. On our first night, they treated us to chocolate covered strawberries and a thank you note for our stay. Then on Thursday, around 8pm, we received a knock on the door with another treat that thanked us for choosing them for our extended stay. All of the food was delicious and the free breakfast buffet was plentiful. Interesting fact: the hotel empties the pools every night at 10 pm when they close. Then they refill the pools by pumping the water in from the hot springs of the Arenal Volcano.

This hotel is about 2 hours from LIR but I totally think it's worth it-- who can say no to a Volcano view outside your bedroom! On the grounds, you will enjoy thermals pools.. so very relaxing. My friend and I took advantage of the spa too. Such a lovely experience. Maria was wonderful. She has magic hands. Within the spa there are pools, and saunas. There is a wonderful restaurant upstairs too! Breakfast was included in our package and they have quite a selection. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. I would definitely check out this hotel!
