"Very well maintained and nice stay. The family running the place is very kind, and provided us welcome tea and cookie upon checking in! The private open air onsen in the room we booked was amazing, at just the right temperature and automatically running and refilling. The location is perfect walking distance and in a central location to many of the public onsens and shops. Highly recommend!!"

We were a little disappointed in the food but if you enjoy traditional Japanese ryokan cuisine, you'll probably appreciate the meals. "Rooms are a bit dated but super clean and well maintained. Staff was awesome, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel in Japan. Location is fairly remote, but extremely peaceful, and there are free shuttle busses into Toyooka. Onsen was pretty good and clean. If you are looking for a relaxed time away from the typical tourist bustle, I can highly recommend this hotel. Most guests were elderly and extremely friendly, and it was completely silent at night."
