"Excellent ryokan with super friendly staff, we really enjoyed our stay. The cats are cute and well taken care of, the baths are great and the room is pleasant. There is one caveat that needs to be mentioned: This is a cat-*themed* ryokan centered around the cats in the cat cafe that it hosts. The cafe is located inside the ryokan but acts as a separate entity and requires separate payment onsite. Very recommended for cat lovers! :3"

"All the rooms face the sea. Our Japanese-Western style room is very big with 2 beds and comes with an onsen. Onsen is natural spring water and reasonably big for 2 people. Onsen area not too hot as it is ventilated with outside air. We paid for 1/2 board and set dinner was very good. Very happy with our stay at Iseya."

"A boutique hotel with excellent service and yummy meals. The staff are friendly and helpful, glad to stay in this hotel. Yet, strongly suggest transportation service from JR station as it’s a bit far and difficult to walk to the hotel with heavy suitcases in winter time."

"Nice Japanese boutique hotel within walking distance to town. Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice. Coffee/tea and orange juice also available at the reception lobby throughout our stay. Will stay again if visiting Yufurin in near future"

"We had a wonderful stay. The atmosphere, food, staff, and hospitality are amazing. We loved the onsen available on site, but also managed to visit other onsen in town (you can get an onsen hopping pass from the town visitor center). Overall very tranquil and relaxing. One thing to note is that the pillows can be small and you may need to ask for larger or additional pillows. Highly recommend and would visit again. "

"First time staying with as a family of 3 with a young toddler. Half board included breakfast and dinner which was different for the 2 nights we stayed. Great rooms, clean and spacious. Hotel exterior was also very peaceful and nice. Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Superb service. Will be back again!"

We have booked with half board, the sumptuous dinner might have been well enjoyed by some but the amount were too much for us to stomach. "This is an amazing property and lovely. Property offers pick-up and sending service from near bus station or train station but you will need to call to the property and make a booking (or just call them when you arrive). Property provide amazing dinner and breakfast which is traditional Japanese style. Both Public and private bath places are amazing with relaxing atmosphere.
