Wander through the serene Tonogayato Garden where seasonal flowers bloom alongside traditional Japanese landscape designs. History buffs can explore the ancient ruins of Musashi Kokubunji Temple, once the head temple of Musashi Province during the Nara period.
What an amazing Ryokan right in the heart of Tokyo! It's both less expensive and nicer than other ryokans in Asakusa. From the tea room to the incredible staff, to the gorgeous, modern rooms, definitely consider staying here instead of a normal hotel next time you're in the area. Their reservable open-air bath with the Skytree view is something else.
The only negative is that it is a slightly longer walk to their location from train stations compared to other Ryokans in the area, but that means...

The place and location is beautiful. Rooms were big and amenities were accessible.
FYI this place caters for locals and if you’re looking for adventurers, food sampling and authenticity this is the place for you. No Western or American breakfast here but I can promise you this… all thru the 3 nights we stayed here Breakfast and Dinner was awesome , delicious and we really enjoyed the food and the service as well.
We lived in Japan several years ago and coming back to explore the area close to...

The clean room, bedding, and new open-air bath were the best bathing time to feel the green and scent of the trees. The amount of food is appropriate and good. All-inclusive snacks are nice if there are more salty things. I'm grateful that I had a very comfortable and wonderful time. The staff were all smiling and very kind.
