Esther’s Guesthouse is perfectly situated in Gimmelwald and very close to the lift. The hosts are very welcoming and have a sweet kiddo that played with my kids on the playground while we stayed there. The village is charming and quiet. It’s a perfect family retreat.

I’ve provided many reviews in the past as a simple courtesy, but I am obliged to submit this review based on yet another memorable stay at the Aspen. This was my third stay and the experience continues to be a 4+/5 star feel. My very well-appointed 3rd floor, corner suite had such excellent views of the surroundings, I ordered room service each night. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been. A once in a lifetime type beauty. But hopefully I'll be back again! The pool was great and I was traveling with two 20-something kids and a 15 yr old. Staff was very nice. We ate dinner in the hotel...but not the "included" with your room dining room. It was good. Breakfast was also good...typical, but good.

Now, I’m going to be honest. The rooms are not updated or fancy…more like a holiday inn….but the staff more than makes up for the simple/old rooms. Every single person was so nice, kind, and helpful. Georgia was especially helpful to us! We appreciated her advice! The outdoor deck was beautiful, and the restaurant was fantastic! Also, the location could not be better with amazing views.

This is a lovely hotel near the cable car that goes up the mountain. You can ski right up to the front door of the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and eager to please. The breakfast was very extensive and well-supplied, with high quality food. I had a very enjoyable stay here, and would come again without hesitation. This is an amazing hotel perfectly situated directly across from Grindelwald First. When I say directly across, I mean you can be at Grindelwald First in less than 5 mins. Less than that if you can walk a slight incline quickly. You are also perfectly situated by the shops and restaurants! The hotel is beautiful! The upgraded rooms are amazing and the amenities are to die for. I had a single upgraded room that had a balcony facing the Wetterhorn. I would enjoy my coffee on the balcony each...

Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. Excellent hotel Diego was most helpful with late check in and then a wonderful staff and breakfast. Wish we could stay longer but will be back again soon for sure.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the hotel. Traveling single, I had a lot of questions, and the staff at the desk fielded them all and were very helpful. The hotel is conveniently located about 3 minutes from the train station, so you do not have to walk far. The morning breakfast offered was a great way to start your day. Central, convenient, easy access to all mountain excursions. Wonderful view of the surrounding mountains right in your face.

Nice location where the bus stop just less 1mins walk; Excellent breakfast provided; The only thing is the wardrobe in the room will make noise when people passing by.
