"While the location is perfect the lodge itself needs work. It needs updating and a refreshed clean look. The lounge chairs in the lobby are extremely worn and the warm inviting picture on line is no match to the dingy look. The room felt dark and the bed mattress saggy. Cleaning fine.No hot shower due to multiple fuses blowing. Drippy faucet. Night 2 a breaker went. My husband had advised there was a bigger issue after night 1 but the staff did not follow up acco rding. Breakfast for Continental as advertised quite sufficient. There's a nice bar on site with reasonable priced food available for. Staff courteous and those there did their best in the moment to help. Hot water pot for the tea l brought good. No tea bags in room. Nice little deck off room. Hiking fantastic. ."

"The driveway was terrible. There were limited dishes and glasses and no stoppers in the sink.The grill on the front porch was busted as was the chair on the back deck."

"Excellent stay! I honestly would love to book and stay again! Beautiful cabin! Amazing overlook! Can reach restaurant, gas stations, and grocery within 15 minutes. Communication with owner was great. Was a little chilly so didn't get to utilize hot tub and fire place, but we will definitely look into coming back and looking forward to it. And for a longer time!"

"We really enjoyed this place. The location was nice and secluded (with a gorge and waterfall behind it!) but close enough for everything we wanted to do in RRG - Southeast Mountain Guides, Underground Gorge, Skylift, and lots of hikes. The cabin was clean and comfortable enough, and stocked with all the basics we needed to make dinners in. Our four teenagers were endlessly entertained with the pool table, hot tub and arcade games, and enjoyed lounging in the two TV areas. Plus the drive in and out was fun, with water crossings and steep hills. "

"Every detail was so well thought out! We barely left the cabin and had everything we needed the whole time. The host was quick to respond when I couldn’t get the rental agreement to download and sent it via text instead. The property was very clean and cozy. I would recommend Alone At Last to anyone looking for a getaway in the RRG area! "
