Secluded with best views in E. KY. Can see 3 states. You won’t be disappointed!!!
10/10 Excellent
"This is the smallest of 4 properties on an Appalachian mountain ridge. The first thing you see is “The View” rolling mountains for miles. It’s simply breathtaking. The cabin is rustic in appearance, but beautifully crafted in barn wood and rough sawn timber. There’s a huge, wheelchair accessible deck that features a well maintained hot tub. My wife and I spent hours soaking, watching the fog roll through the hollows, then the stars as night fell. The interior is clean and new, with 1 bedroom and a loft with 2 twin beds. The loft is only accessible by ladder so, okay for kids and young adults, not so much for older folks. It’s perfect for couple getaways, and a vacation with 2 kids. Maco has other options on the ridge that accommodate up to 12 or more.I like to cook. I was immediately relieved when I saw the kitchen beautifully equipped with a new range and refrigerator and plenty of utensils, flatware and plates. No dishwasher, but if you’re 2 people it’s not really an issue.Since there’s a NOAA weather station and small airstrip nearby, cell and internet are no problem. We were there for a week. Did not see or hear one arrival or departure. Since we used the hot tub almost every night, we went through quite a few towels. The only thing I’d like to see in Hemlock is a laundry. There is no washer or dryer, so bring enough clothes for your stay. The last and most important thing to mention is the host, Maco. He was always available and eager to make every minute memorable."

"We loved the cabin and the beautiful view. VERY peaceful and quiet. We did see Maco during our visit and what a kind man he is. Thank you for our stay!"
"Had a good price, great location for the reason we were visiting! Very nice and helpful staff, rooms were nice and clean! Thank you so much for making our trip much easier!"
"Loved staying in this cabin on our trip to RRG for our anniversary! It was just what we needed and conveniently located near everything we wanted to do! The bed in our room was extremely comfortable. The entire cabin was very clean and cozy. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after long days spent hiking, kayaking, and ziplining. The amenities and snacks provided were also very thoughtful. Would gladly come back for another stay if we visit the area again!"
"We loved this place! The cabin was very clean and everything was in great condition. It is a small cabin with a very "outdoorsy" look. The host was very friendly and communication was great. We had everything that we needed and more. The snacks were a good added touch. Planning on staying here on our next visit. Thank you so much for such a pleasant stay."
"the restroom for the elderly is a bit out of the way and hard to reach, so from my point of view, you should clarify that if there are elderly people, everything else is wonderfulthank you"
Chasin Turkeys is a Charming 2-bedroom Lakefront cabin in Red River Groge
8/10 Good
"Overall a great weekend getaway! The drive up is kinda sketchy. Very narrow 1 lane gravel road. We did see some Wild Turkeys! The cabin is cute but could have been cleaned better, floors were a little dirty. The lake is not as close as I thought but still a great view. You can hear some traffic from the road across the lake, it personally did not bother me. Getting to & from the lake is a workout. The pier was nice to lay out on but I did find a fishing hook with my foot (it's fine!). Firework debris & some glass down by the lake. We were able to feel the lake water but there is not an easy way to get in. Hot tub was great and outdoor chairs were nice to have. Stairs are slick when wet. Overall a nice cabin & would recommend!"
