"Lovely greeting on arrival. Parking on the doorstep which is a bonus being in the centre of Kendal. Check in was simple having already completed the online form. Facilities available were explained to us and we headed up to our room. We were a little cross with ourselves for not bringing our swimming costumes!! Room was spotless and lovely and warm. Bathroom was also clean. Love the fact that in the bathroom they have a note saying if you’ve forgotten toothpaste/brish/razors etc they have them at reception, simple but brilliant should you need. We had a great view of the river from our room, we couldn’t have asked for more. We didn’t eat or drink here but the bistro looked beautiful and inviting. Whilst the rooms aren’t super modern, they are comfy, clean and the staff are brilliant. We will choose to book here again when we head up to Kendal. In a perfect location for walking into town to explore the area. Many thanks "

"Room was great with amazing views. Friendly and lovely staff.. Great location. Also, high compliments for the food we had there. We thought the main bedding could be better with a bit more blackout curtain/blinds as the ambient lights outside were on for a longer period at night - these are some feedback for the sake of it. Full kitchen with everything you require including sharp knives, teapot and milk jug.Lovely welcome extras, not just tea and coffee, but fruit bowl, fresh flowers, cake and fizz!The Barn is lovely and we particularly liked the fire."

"Lovely pet friendly accommodation. Everything was clean and comfortable. Local to loads of different walks and amenities. Couldn't fault anything with the property, the BBQ and pizza oven were an added bonus. Wonderful for a weekend away to explore the Lakes. "
