4/5 - Good
We were traveling by train and foot; the center of Kendal is a very easy walk from the train station. Number of different eateries in town, and it's situated on a river with some cobblestone streets, so very charming generally.

Great place to stay for families. Staff so friendly and having the pool and other facilities to be able to use too, brilliant. We would love to return ❤️

The town has so much history and beautiful old buildings. We visited the Abbot Hall art gallery and Museum of Lakeland life and industry. Abbot Hall is a Georgian house built in the mid 1700s. Lovely town with lots to see and do.
