"I was supposed to meet a family member here, but their flight was canceled and could no longer meet me here in Japan. I needed to cancel this reservation because of this disappointing turn of events. I messaged the hotel staff during the window of time necessary to cancel without late-cancellation fees, however the staff did not respond to me until after that window had passed, and would not budge on their policy of charging me for the entire stay. "I had a pleasant stay at APA Hotel Kokura Ekimae. The location is a major highlight—it’s about a 5-minute walk from Kokura Station, making it very convenient for getting around. It’s also close to popular spots like Kokura Castle and Tanga Market, which made sightseeing easy. The hotel operates largely on self-service, which may take a little getting used to, but everything is quite efficient. Even so, the staff are available and willing to assist when needed, which I appreciated. Overall, a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience and accessibility in Kokura."
