"The resort is surrounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful - perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, but there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel that runs at specific times and goes to the nearest train station, Shiojiri. The owner was very kind and even offered to pick me up and drop me off at the station, and he also took me to visit the old town, Narai-juku. "The hotel is well located at lake front, although our room was on the lower floor and the view was a bit blocked by the fence outside the windows. The staff were extremely helpful and the one served us could speak English. The food was good.The private bath (fee required) inside the public bath has half glass walls so not so private except exclusive use of the facility .Given the price we paid included a free tour of the shrines, we considered it's value for money."
