Juneau Hotel
5/5 Excellent
"Juneau Hotel was a lovely place to stay. A great location within walking distance to everything, but far enough away from where the cruise ships dock to avoid the crowds and all their noise. A quiet, peaceful spot! Service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. The hotel was humble, not fancy, but our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we need.
My only issues were very minor ones. To be clear, despite these issues I would happily stay at Juneau Hotel again! Our room was weirdly warm, even though the thermostat was off. We had to spend a lot of time with the windows open. The heaters never felt warm so I don't know where the heat was coming from. The other issue was that the blinds weren't very effective, and since we stayed in June the sun was out 24/7. Both my wife and I still managed to sleep soundly, and I had sleep masks at the ready, but we didn't need them. No matter where I am staying, if I'm going to Alaska in the summer, I'm bringing a sleep mask, so I'd advise other travelers to do the same! "
