A wonderfully restored home managed by two dedicated residents.
I've now visited Juneau twice, both times staying in the exact same room at Alaska's Capital Inn. Each room in the inn is unique with varying amenities. Linda serves breakfast each morning, always a new recipe to keep things interesting and tasty. Plenty of snacks are set out in the inn and are more than enough to satisfy a midnight snack if you're having trouble adjusting to a time difference. Great conveniences in the common area on the second floor include first aid supplies, a mini fridge to chill your beverages, and plenty of extra blankets and pillows in each room.
The inn is conveniently located between downtown and plenty of options to to explore nature. Most sites to see in the downtown area take a short/leisurely walk during which you'll likely see a store/boutique/coffee shop that catches your eye. I highly recommend Alaska's Capital Inn for an easygoing, relaxing stay in one of the most beautiful towns in American.
Some helpful hints:
The transit system in Juneau is robust enough to be able to ride from the airport to the inn for just a couple bucks. (it's best to check Juneau Capital Transit's website for updates regarding bus routes; COVID may or may not have an effect on serice).
If you prefer to take a car from the airport to the inn, don't bother with Uber if you arrive in the evening. I personally gave Juneau Taxi a call to get a ride and it was at least $12 cheaper.
