"Clean and specious room. Having washing machine, microwave and dishwasher was a plus. Train's nearby. Highly recommended. "

"Window is broken, letting in mosquitoes. Furnishings are the worst I’ve seen. Shower doesn’t drain limiting showers to 2 minutes before it overflows. I had to buy glasses for water. There was no bin only a bucket which you have to empty in the street bins. The room smells of fried chicken from the shop underneath. There is no vanity in the bathroom so toiletries are kept on the floor. Worst value for money I’ve ever know and I travel over 200 days a year."

"My family and I had an absolute pleasure accomodating ourselves at the Retreat in Mangere Bridge. Dave and his wife Shilpa, made us feel very welcome and this definitely was a home away from home. The premises was quite and clean. The location was away from all the hustle and bustle of city life which I loved. Very peaceful. We checked in at 2am with ease. Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely come and stay again if opportunity arises. "

"Parking was inadequate. Not enough carparks to allocate one to a unti. Had car park behind and block me in. Apologetic manager had to wrangle people coming and going "

"Lovely bach and we were happy with the accommodation overall - comfy, had what we needed and was easy to get to and from. However, we didn’t receive check-in details and had to contact Book a Bach to have the host reached, which made for a stressful start to our trip. Check-out details were sent the night before check-out, so it would have been helpful to receive check-in information the night before check-in. With better communication, this would have been a great stay."
