"Needed accommodation at the last minute and found this. Staff was nice but the whole place is shabby, and our room smelled old and mouldy. Bathroom was relatively clean but towels smelled of something like cockroach spray. Close to Ikebukuro station, however."…"

Good location, good size…

Chose to stay in Ikebukuro for once instead of the usual hotspots like Shinjuku and Shibuya. Great location right next to escalators leading to the train station, options to eat nearby and decent sized room with space to actually open our suitcases, unlike other shoebox sized hotels in Japan where we've struggled to do barely that. Also had an extra suitcase delivered via courier on our second day which they were more than happy to accept and advise us it had arrived when we came back to our hotel after a long day.…Chose to stay in Ikebukuro for once instead of the usual hotspots like Shinjuku and Shibuya. Hotel has a great location just a 5 minute walk from the West Exit N of Ikebukuro station. Lots of convenience stores and restaurants nearby and about 15 min walk to Sunshine City. It was clean and the staff were nice but the rooms (we were in a standard double) are TINY with next to no storage space except for a few hangars on the wall.
