「Lovely homely experience with good breakfast」

「A really good location to stop overnight and very happy with the room. Breakfast was delivered in a hamper box outside our room and was rather disappointing. No egg/cold meats option. The main option was oats with fruit. We ordered with banana and strawberry. Tiny amount of strawberry and the banana slices were dried and chewy. But the evening meal was good honest pub grub.」

「Room was compact but comfortable, the bed especially comfortable. Best in room coffee ever! TV was impossible to sort out, HUGE but useless. A leak from toilet cabinet meant floor was wet most of the time, and was reported to manager, I'm sure it'll be fixed for next people. Pub is oozing with atmosphere, food is excellent. Staff are great. Somebody could pick up litter outside once in a while to improve the look.」

「Superb property. The room we had was massive. Very large sleigh bed. Raised platform with a double ended bath in the bedroom. Beautiful oak flooring on the platform and really nice thick carpet in the bedroom. The en suite had a large walk in shower and was all new and clean feeling. The grounds were lovely. Nice walk round, rope swing obviously designed for brides and grooms. Sheep in the field next door. Staff friendly. Classly and well kept. Can highly recommend.」

「The Hotel has a lot of character and is in a beautiful location in the Dales. We watched lambs playing in the field as we had breakfast. There are great walks on to the Dales or down to the river from the front door. The staff were very friendly, and we had a lovely restful stay.」

「I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. 」

「Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area.」
