Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and delicious breakfast. Only thing I find odd is no rooms to accommodate children, which when attached to Forbidden Corner I would have expected.

Incredible stay at The Saddle Rooms. Easy check in with very helpful staff. Treated to a lovely twin room named 'The Pretender ' (all rooms named after famous racehorses) with my son. Attention to detail wonderful. Amazing large bathroom with true waterfall shower. Comfortable beds and air conditioning/systems that actually worked. We had dinner which was worth every penny. Breakfast was delicious and wonderful too. Gorgeous setting - stone built properties. Courtyard. Grounds stunning. Being on the Tupgill estate by the incredible Forbidden Corner was a bonus too. I've stayed in a number of places around the world and I can honestly say this could be in my top 5.

This hotel was really nice. From minite we arrived staff were great. The room was lovely, had everything that we needed and was very quiet during the night. Food in the restaurant was to die for, we had booked our anniversary meal and it did not disappoint. They even dressed the table in recognition of it being our anniversary with a bottle of processco. Breakfast next mornkng was very nice too, top quality ingredients and proper juices. Lovely that it is on the same grounds of forbidden corner, we visited there before leaving. Would definitely recommend and return

The reception staff were really welcoming, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It is a well presented hotel and in nice surroundings and location. Breakfast was really nice and good quality. My only criticism was in the evening in the bar the staff were at times not as responsive as they could be such as bringing condiments and taking time to serve on the bar/getting orders wrong. It didn't effect the overall stay and the food quality was brilliant. I would definitely return.

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you (without being over bearing). The whole place was spotless, the food was impeccable and it was very dog friendly. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

One of my favourite places to stay! Beautiful countryside. Lovely comfortable, characterful rooms with horse racing theme! Friendly staff, and excellent freshly cooked breakfasts made with locally sourced ingredients. Plenty of parking. We stayed on a Tuesday when the main restaurant is closed, but enjoyed our evening meal at the White Goose Pizza Co. which is only minutes walk away.

On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off but luckily we finally managed to find a housekeeper who sorted the electrics and brought us some fresh milk (milk had gone off). So all in all a mixed bag really hence only an average score.
