Hot tub, Dock, Fire Pit, Dog Friendly, Golf,

  • This cozy, family cottage is ready for swimming, campfires, stories and making memories.
Great hot-tub, fire pit, privacy with woods to the right of the home. Our neighbors are on the left side upon approach to our home.
Enjoy the beautiful expanse of fresh water that Smith Mountain Lake is famous for. You can enjoy swimming off the dock, fishing (be sure to get a fishing license), making smores at the campfire, or relaxing in the hot tub after a day out on the water. The house is located close to Mitchell's Marina where you can rent boats, pontoons, get fuel or drop your own boat in the water. Golf at Mariners Landing Golf Club, Copper Cove Golf Club.

Please note each dog is a dog fee of $150.00 . No puppies, nor cats , nor any other type of animal.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing, quiet neighborhood, lake in back yard. We did kayak on Friday and my son brought his Jon Boat down so we took advantage of the little dock and tied up there when not fishing (Mitchells Point Marina is less than 5 minutes away). House was clean, nicely equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Pots, pans, spices, utensils, 2 grills, plenty of towels, sheets were nice, bed's were comfortable.

We loved this cozy cottage, tucked away in a cove. Woke up to the sound of birds and scampering squirrels and watched the deer go down to water for a drink in the evenings. Kitchen was well appointed and there were even multiple refrigerators. A/C and water pressure were outstanding; beds were very comfortable. The lower level with bed and bathroom gave a separation of space but still felt connected. It was exactly what our family needed for a place to get away and spend some quality time together.

We had a lovely long weekend at this beautiful property. The home made for a very comfortable stay for our family of 4 & our dogs. We couldn't have been more conveniently located on the lake. Our hosts were very responsive & thoughtful.

A wonderful stay!

My family and I stayed here for a long Memorial Day weekend. It was clean, and so welcoming. The lake is beautiful and we loved being able to fish and jump in from the dock. The hot tub was amazing and clean. We had the best time and loved every bit of our stay. Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

Very nicely furnished lakeside cabin, with a fairly easy to navigate dock. Just be aware of the stairs if you're carrying a lot down.

Labor Day Weekend

Had a great extended weekend here. Property was exactly as described. Loved the hot tub and proximity to the lake. I noticed the AC wasn't working properly our first morning there and the owner had someone repairing it before noon. Definitely would stay here again!

We had a lovely time! The owners were helpful when we had questions. Enjoyed swimming by the dock, sitting in the hot tub, and resting inside. Used a lot of mosquito repellant. The home was clean and had a nice option of cooking pots/pans and spices available. The home has a bunkbed and three other beds, full size or larger for a total of 4 bedrooms. However, to get downstairs to the fourth bedroom and game room, you need to go outside, which is not great when it is raining.

Restful Retreat

Nestled in a quiet cove just minutes from Mitchell’s Point Marina, this lakefront property offered everything we needed. Two levels allowed privacy for us and our adult son. Breakfast on the deck, a dock for our boat, hot tub to close out the day and comfortable beds. The property was just as advertised and communication with the owners was timely and attentive. Smith Mountain Lake offers such beauty with the clear water & beautiful mountain scapes. Bruno’s is a must for a delicious meal and such amazing owners and staff. Boating, golf, and wonderful family time. We will be back.

This spot is absolutely fantastic and I plan to totally go back. Host was very responsive to questions and assisted with adding fur family to the already booked reservation. Property is somehow even better in person, the cove it is in was peaceful and quiet which was surprising given that it is not far from a marina and a main channel. While the water level was low (no ones fault as it has been really dry in this region and they are in drought conditions) it was still perfect for floating, swimming and relaxing, the dock has two covers that ensured that the fur family could come down to dock with us safely. Best part was that there was little boating aside from a few canoes and kayaks, those with engines respected the cove so the water was very calm with little to no wakes. The property has everything you need, a weber charcoal grill as well as a gas grill, kitchen was well stocked with all you could need that is not perishable, ice maker in the upstairs fridge was in constant use and easily produced enough to keep our cooler and beverages chilled. You can tell they really thought this property through, the deck to the dock is staggered so it is not all steps and is easy to get back and forth (even in triple digit heat). The only issue I had was leaving, and that is just because I wanted to stay the rest of the summer.
